Marcus Triplett is an incoming Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurobiology at UCLA, starting July 2026. His research focuses on computational neuroscience and statistical machine learning, with particular emphasis on scalable neural data analysis, computational methods for optical interrogation of neural circuits, and mechanistic models of computation in artificial and biological neural systems. Prior to joining UCLA, Dr. Triplett was a postdoctoral research scientist in the Center for Theoretical Neuroscience at Columbia University.
